10 Best Xbox Games of 2014 That Nobody Can Forget

2014 was a bizarre year. It was a year of HD premasters and “Conclusive Editions” on Xbox One, or more heaps of cross-gen games discharged on both Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. Few games genuinely emerged – especially on 360 – so making our yearly Game of the Year list in the not so distant future was troublesome. So here is the list of 10 best Xbox games of 2014 that no buddy can forget.

Problems Only 90s Gamers Could Understand

With the PS1 turned 20 last December it’s got us thinking about gaming in the 90s. We complain a lot these days, but there were a lot of problems with gaming back then that we all seemed to ignore. If you were a gamer in the 90s you’d know all about these particular problems…

Syfy Confirmed Z Nation Season 4

Zombies hit mainstream popularity in the last 5 to 10 years with shows like Death Valley, The Walking Dead and of course, our favorite Z Nation. The captivating, gritty and dramatic nail-biter keeps on drawing in new fans, which is why Z Nation is picking up Season 4 in 2017.

One minor change will occur as far as the number of episodes goes; instead of 15 episodes, Season 4 of Z Nation will have 13. The creators of the exhilarating show are co-creator Craig Engler and co-creator, show runner, and executive Karl Schaefer (Eerie Indiana).

SyFy confirmed Z Nation’s new season arrival in the year of 2017; however, the specific date is TBA.

Top 5 games coming out in November

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

What would November be like without a new Call of Duty game? Definitely at least a little bit empty. Luckily, the new release is right on time, this time set in space with all the gimmicks that come with that, such as zero gravity. And apparently Activision noticed the people’s love for Game of Thrones and MMA, since Kit Harington and Conor McGregor are also featured in the game. The multiplayer isn’t top notch like it used to be – there are certainly some improvements to be made in that field, but it’s still pretty fun.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was released on November 4th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Eagle Flight

Ubisoft have made mistakes in the recent years, but one thing is undeniable: their open world games indeed have open worlds. Eagle Flight is no exception, being the publisher’s first try in virtual reality. Set in Paris during the post-apocalyptic future, it allows you to soar into the skies. If you have a HTC Vive, Oculus or PS VR headset, you’re free to put it on and start your flight.

Eagle Flight was released for PC and PS4 on November 8th.

Dishonored 2

Bethesda have generated high expectations with the first installment one of the most critically acclaimed new series, Dishonored, and we hope for greatness from the sequel as well. This time the character you’ll control can be one of two supernatural assassins in Karnaca, a fictional city.

Dishonored 2 will be released on November 11th for PC, Xbox One and PS4

Watch Dogs 2

The first installment in the series didn’t live up to the hype, but we’re ready to forgive Ubisoft if they learned from their mistakes, which, it seems, they have, so we’re hopeful for the sequel. The announced doubled hacking elements in the game and letting the players go down non-lethal routes is a welcome addition compared to open world mass murdering and constant collecting plus a forgettable protagonist we had to endure in the original Watch Dogs. And the best part? There’ll be a co-op mode.

Watch Dogs 2 will be released on November 15th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection

The best parts of the Assassin’s Creed games, the ones with Ezio Auditore, will not avoid the inevitable remaster on current-gen. Probably a smart move by Ubisoft, considering there was no new Assassin’s Creed entries this year (and better, because they deteriorated in quality constantly since our good friend Ezio has been gone), this can keep old fans engaged with the series and still introduce some new ones. No multiplayer modes will be included, however, but we are still looking forward to playing this in updated graphics.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will be released on November 17th for PS4 and Xbox One.

Football Manager 2017

The new manager simulator from Sports Interactive brings a few new things to the table to entice players to get it. There are a few smaller changes, such as support for new league rules in matches and some new camera angles, but one of the main things is considering some recent political developments and how they may affect the game. Namely, Britain leaving the EU may mean that your star striker will, perhaps, need a work permit.

Football Manager 2017 was released for PC on November 4th .

Pokémon Sun and Moon

With the appeal of Pokémon GO now gone with the coming of winter, GameFreak and Nintendo have got something new in store for us. Nobody is going to walk 10km to hatch eggs when it’s freezing outside, but perhaps people can be enticed to hunt down over 800 critters from the warmth of their own living room sofa. The setting is in Alola, which is a fictional version of Hawaii, where all Pokémon look a bit stranger than what we’re used to. (Just check out Dugtrio and you’ll see what we mean).

Pokémon Sun and Moon will be released on November 22nd for Nintendo 3DS.
